Blooming beautiful pohutukawas!

I think I can safely say that this December has been the best year for our beloved pohutukawas, ever! Everyone in the north has been saying the same thing, so I guess that means we're in for a long hot summer?

I crammed in a quick trip north, briefly visiting Auckland, The Coromandel & Bay Of Plenty, travelling as far east as Lottin Point (near Hicks bay, just before East Cape). The best displays were definitely around the BOP & Lottin Point, where 80% of the trees were a solid 80% red - or more!
