"Wish You Were Here"

"Having been a favourite place since my early childhood, I've captured many scenes of Otama over the years, but I regard this as my finest work of this beautiful bay. Noticing the flower buds on the middle branches a couple of weeks earlier, I planned this visit for Boxing day, but my surprise bonus was a full moon. This caused an extremely high tide & brought the sea lapping into the centre, I’d never seen it so high before. And with this gorgeous early morning light, I knew this would make a great scene. Thinking of my sister & nieces in Switzerland who love this beach as much as I do, hence “Wish You Were Here”!
