Peter's World

"The Lay Of The Land"

"Despite the weather map looking less than promising this week, I took the chance & made the 6 hour journey to Hawkes Bay. I still might find some opportunities for good light? The following morning, I was awake at 5am in order to get here in good time & I captured various views around the Tukituki river, but clouds blocked the sun before I could record this scene. Oh no! So another early start it was, but this time I was rewarded with clear uninterrupted light. Great! I used my 240mm telephoto lens in order to focus on the intricate details, which accentuated the changing seasons & contrasts of the land beautifully. The result is a unique 4.2GB file, which allows it to be printed to tremendous sizes, yet still retain all of the very fine details!"

“When Peter delivered our pieces, we couldn't believe the incredible detail. The images on his website - impressive as they are - really didn't do our prints justice!“
