“Captured from the same vantage point as "The Ruggedy Isles", I waited for the sun to rise a little more to bring out the colour in the water & switched lenses to my long 240mm telephoto. I wanted to capture a compressed view to highlight all the intricate details of this remote beach, jelly like waves & the vast sand dunes, peppered with native pingao grass. This remote area is totally unspoilt & is visited by only a small number of hardy hikers each year. And what a privilege it was to witness it under such spectacular light, it was worth fighting all those relentless sandflies for!"
