"Rangitoto Kowhiti"

“Despite the illusion this is a sunrise, it's actually the full moon rising over Rangitoto, which I captured soon after sunset. The misty effect of the water is the result of the long 150 second exposure, which blurred the waves as they broke over the rocks. With perfect weather holding, I raced home & packed some essentials, then headed out west to Piha for the next morning’s moonset - which I captured in my print ‘Piha Aroha’.”
