"I think the secret to the unique experience of New Chum is the native bush walk to get here - if one could drive directly to the beach, it just wouldn't be the same! At the far end of the bay lie fabulous groves of young nikau palms, nurtured under the protection of ancient pohutukawa trees. I wanted to celebrate both the beauty of the bush & the beach, all in one view, so I captured this very wide panorama, with the nikaus & pohutukawa framing this wonderful window, teasing you with the beach beyond."
