Peter's World

"Matheson's Dawn"

“I arrived here at dawn, but I had to wait several hours for the sun to rise above the hills & light the bush around the lake. I also had to persevere with the local Paradise ducks, as they kept landing on the lake & disturbing these perfect mirror-like reflections! Another challenge was to balance the vast difference in exposure from the deep shadows of the lake’s shores, to the bright snow clad peaks of Mts. Cook & Tasman. I bracketed each frame & balanced the exposure, before stitching them together to create this uniquely wide panorama.”

“When Peter delivered our pieces, we couldn't believe the incredible detail. The images on his website - impressive as they are - really didn't do our prints justice!“
