“What a phenomenal last day of spring! After fears the track would close due to heavy snow the night before & the risk of avalanche, my hiking group finally got the green light to go & we were able to walk under these phenomenal conditions. Such incredible light & drama, I was in a tiny pocket of sunshine & in large prints you can see it was still snowing. One of those very rare days that stands out as a real highlight, I also had to defend my camera bag from a pair of mischievous Keas, who thought they might like to rip into it, but snowballs came to my rescue!"
