"This stunning bay is called Flowerpot (named after a rock that used to be here, that resembled a flowerpot) & it's very much the hub of life on on this remote outpost. Measuring 65 sq. km off the south coast of Chatham, just 45 people live on Pitt, mostly farming & fishing, plus a little tourism. It really is a jewel in N.Z's crown & it made a huge impression with me. So if you ever get the chance to visit, don't hesitate! With an incredible coastline, unique geology & plant life, there is much to discover."
