"This winter's day had begun shrouded in thick mist around Bank's Peninsula, but by late afternoon it began to lift & reveal some beautiful scenery. As I neared these boat sheds at the French settlement of Duvauchelle, the early evening sun was striking them face on. At first I didn't notice all the shags drying themselves, until I switched to my longest lens. Oh excellent! I had just enough time to photograph a dozen frames before the sun dropped below the foothills. But that was enough, I had the light - la lumière, merci beacoup!"
