"When clients were seeking a wave image for their new kitchen's glass splashback, I knew one beach would offer the best opportunity - Otama. So after an initial shoot failed to impress, I spent another day scanning the beach & shot hundreds of images from various positions. Until finally, I captured this spectacular wave where my camera's shutter froze the water like ice. And with such sharp precision, this image really is epic. But as I stood there & observed each wave, they really didn't look very different to each other. But that's the unique power of photography & recording a split-second, revealing beauty which would otherwise go unnoticed."
