The detail & lighting in this scene is simply breathtaking...
"A friend & I were supposed to be hiking the alpine ridges of the Kepler track on this day, but the weather gods had other ideas & forced our retreat (being blown off the track was not my idea of fun!) So 'plan B' - up the Routeburn we went & we were blessed with glorious weather instead of gale force snow! I wandered off the track a little bit & immediately stopped where this spectacular scene lay out in front of me. The morning sun was just beginning to warm the bush in the background & I love these tumbling rocks, they're really quite beautiful. Everything was in perfect balance & harmony, just as nature intended."
