"Day At The Beach"

“It took three trips to Matapouri from Auckland in one week to strike a fine afternoon, as the weather this December was particularly changeable. But my determination was finally rewarded with this stunning panorama, where the westerly sun lit the Pohutukawa blooms for me (the morning sun would not have worked, as the blooms would have been in shadow). So often our days that start out with a clear morning, tend to spoil with cloud in the afternoon.”
