"Mc Kenzie's Country"
“Taken in early September, I’d waited until a big anticyclone came over the south island and dumped a heavy load of snow, then flew down to catch it. After 3 days and 2500km, I had really overdosed on beautiful snow capped mountain scenes, but I captured this classic image in the last hours before I flew home. The illusion is that a wide angle lens is used, but I never would have got close enough before the Merino sheep would have run away! So I used a longer lens and cropped the top and bottom off (which also eliminated an ugly wire fence below!)”
